ok i have a 10 gallon aqaurium and i want to add some fish.i was told i could put mollies,guppies and tetrasbut i also heard that mollies need alot of roomso how many guppies and tetras can i put in my aquarium.and are there any other small fish that can get along with guppies?

Hello, I have a ten gallon aquarium with ten fish in it right now. It used to have 6 but then i added 3 gold barbs. and a pleco. Right now i have one Serpae tetra, 2 cherry barbs, some sort of relative to the platy, a pleco, some type of tetra, 3 gold barbs, and one zebra danio. I was wondering if I should add more or try to convince my parents to let me get a bigger tank like at least a 29 gallon, so then i can have more fish.Thanks, Frodo98
What should i put in my 10 gallon aquarium?
i would like to know what i should put in my 10 gallon freshwater aquarium? i have in my 55 right now is neons,penguin tetra,cory cats,pleco,gourami,live plants,ottos,glass catfish, and other tetras, may seem crowded but it is not. what should i put in my 10 gallon aquarium?? i dont want the same fish, also i have a 75 gallon cichlid tank.
How long should I let the water cycle in a 180 gallon aquarium before I add my groupers?
I just set up a 180 salt water tank over the weekend. It has about 75lbs of cured live rock out of my existing tank , 120lbs of old live rock that has been sun bleached, another 75 lbs of rock will go in when I add the fish, 90 lbs of crushed coral and I am adding another 120lbs or so of live sand when I add the fish. I am using a 60 gallon tank for a sump filter system with 1800 gph pump to filter the water turn over rate of 10 times per hour . When I filled the tank. I used roughly 40 gallons of established water and mixed up about 130 gallons of new water. I realize it takes about 28 days for the nitrogen to peak in a new tank, but I am wondering what other experienced aquariumist think as to how long before I should add fish, seeing how I added some of the needed bacteria to break down the nitrogen I also added some dirt filter media .My grouper is a blue line grouper that I have had for 4 years. It is close to 12" long. I also have a soap fish that is just as old and as big actually a bit fatter than the blue line . A triangulated trigger that I have had for over a year. A brown stripped moray eel about 22" long , golden head moray a lot smaller than the other, but growing fast and a green wolf eel.I am also looking for any ideas of fish that could hang in the tank.....my grouper is not nice to new fish at all, so I need to add a few new fish before he gets transfered.Thanks
55 gallon aquarium to be filled with what?
I have decided to convert my 55 gallon into a community tank.It has a sand substrate with drift wood covered in java moss in the middle of the tank. The airstone is connected to a pump rated for 60 gallons. The filter is an Eheim 2213 canister.I'm leaving for college in the fall so I wanted fish that were fairly easy to take care of like the convicts I have now for my parents sake.I was wondering what a list would be of a good community tank. Possibly including miniature cichlids since my LFS has them in stock and I love them. Thanks in advance
Can 3 Silver dollar fish at full size fit in a 33 gallon aquarium?
My 33 gallon tank is not the really long ones it is 3 feet long 36 inches long and then 1 foot long between 12 and 13 inches in width like the side of the tank. Of you measure in inches for the silver dollar they take up 18 inches with all three cause 6 6 6 18 inches thats three of em they usually say 1 inch fish per gallon I want to see what you guys say just to make sure.
Can you use a 50 watt heater in a 2.5 gallon aquarium?
I temporarily have a new guppy in a 2.5 gallon tank until I get a 5 gallon set up. I just got her today and she has ich, so she needs a heater. I know that size heater is typically for 10 gallons, but you can adjust the temp, so would that matter or not? If so I will just have to wait till I get my check on friday and buy a smaller one, so I was just wondering.
Where can I get a good quality 20 Gallon aquarium or kit for under 100 dollars?
I really want to start a community tank. Right now I only have one betta in a 2.5 Gallon. I would like to get a 20 Gallon tank after I graduate from College. I would prefer a kit though so I don't have to worry about what will fit and such. Also what are some good stocking options. I really like male guppies and would only keep them as I don't want any fry. I also like Cory cats. What else??? Thanks for any help and advice.
