What type of paint for aquarium ornaments?
Hi , i want to clean up and revamp my aquarium ornaments, can anyone recomend or tell me what type of paint to use that is safe for fish in a aquarium, thankyou
Do you have any tips on cleaning aquarium ornaments and plants?
Did you buy special tools or did you just use a toothbrush? My algae looks kind of dark brown. Is this harmful to the fish? That's in my tropical tank. In my cold water goldfish tank the algae is dark green. Can you use the same cleaning equipment for both tanks or should I keep them separate?

How should I clean my fish aquarium ornaments/decorations? Is bleach OK?
I have a 10 Gallon Aquarium and my decorations are very dirty.The colour has faded into a dark brown dirty colour.I researched and found out that I could use a bucket of water and add 1 2 cup of bleach in it and soak my ornaments. I can then take them out and rinse them in HOT Water for about 60 seconds and then they should be safe to put back in the Aquarium. I would like to know if these steps are safe and if using bleach is safe.PLEASE HELP
What are aquarium ornaments made from, making them safe for aquariums & freshwater fish?
I'd like to go to my local craft store & perhaps find one of those little buildings that you paint yourself. But I don't know what aquarium ornaments are made from. Also, if I were to find the right item made from the right material, what kind of craft paint would be safe to paint them with? The ones we buy have to be painted with something. Aquarium ornament - where do the bubbles come from?
I know this sounds stupid but, where do the bubbles come from in an aquarium ornament? My son received a Sponge Bob ornament that blows bubbles for his 7th birthday, do I run a pipe from the filter to the little nozzle on the back of the ornament?
Aquarium ornaments / Rocks in particular for fresh water tank?
My husband is an avid rock collector and he has this stalagmite or stalactite can t remember which , it does have a lot of growth rings any way it is very large with a huge hole through the middle, it looks perfect for my aquarium I put it in there last night and then remembered that I didn t know what body of water it came from cave, salt water or fresh water I don t know So, I took it out until I could talk to you guys.All I know is , it s big and makes a perfect cave for my little fish, when I originally put it in there it let off a stream of bubbles it was washed before hand , but I was worried that it might put minerals that are not suppose to be in a fresh water tank. I love my fish very much, and I don t want to put anything in there that can potentially hurt them. What do you think..is it safe or not?
