Has anyone ever used white aquarium gravel from Walmart?
That is what is in my 36 gallon tank and I have majorly cleaned it and it is still making my tank cloudy,No I did not originally clean it but in the last 3 days I have cleaned it several times and when I put it back in now with 100% fresh water it still got cloudy. I am totally restarting the tank so don't tell me that it is bad for my fish because there are no fish in it.
Whats the easiest and fastest way to unclog a Bathtub?? It got clogged with aquarium gravel (Rocks)!!!!?
I DONT KNOW IF I PUT THIS QUESTION IN THE WRONG CATEGORY So the other day i was cleaning my gravel from my fish tank you may think i clean my gravel a weird way in the bathtub and i accidentally spilled some and it went into the drain. There were a mixture of different size of rocks. small rocks and little big rocks. Now, when i try to take a shower, the water doesn't go away. it will go away but it will take forever I tried that plunger and rag thing were you cover the top holes of the bathtub with the wet rag and you use the plunger to try to unplug it. It didn't work for me. what sucks is that i live in a apartment on the top floor. so i cant go to the basement or anything. is there a way to unclog it before having to talk to the manager of the apartment?? or do i need to get a plumber?? I don't really want to waste my money in this, so if there is a cheap way of doing this, PLEASE TELL ME Thanks for the help PLEASE SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY
Can I completely change my aquarium gravel?
I have had my fish tank for a few months and without really thinking I bought white gravel which is very course. It now has brown patches and I regularly syphon debris up and it still looks dirty. How do I properly vacuum my aquarium gravel?
Should I take out the fish first? I have a gravel vacuum that's manual, and you're supposed to create the vacuum suction by pumping it in the water a few times, but I can't seem to get it. I know it's hard to help without seeing the situation firsthand, but all help is appreciated.
I bought an aquarium gravel cleaner and i cleaned up my tank, but now the tank is cloudy?
i never added anything new apart from water which was left to stand for 48 hrs before use.the gravel did move around a lot though as i was cleaning. i also cleaned out the filter and algae etc and added ben bacteria and also dechlorinatorso why is the tank cloudy now? and what kind of things can i do to clear it up?regardsthnaks for the answers so far.when i say cleaned out the filter, i mean i just rinsed the sponges in the tank water and NOT tap water as i know that the bacteria is lost from the filter if u clean it in tap water. i just tossed it in the aquarium water and replaced it thats all i did.
I hate my aquarium gravel help?
I originally had a ten gallon tank and upgraded to a twenty gallon tank about 6 months ago and I switched over the gravel from the ten gallon to the twenty hoping it would help with the cycling process and so I had to get more of the same rocks. Ive had these colored rocks for over a year and i am really starting to get sick of them, my new tank has been cycled. Is it possible to change the gravel without messing up the tank and stressing out the fish?

Im setting up a new tank 20 gallon tank, i have 25 pound of gravel and ive started washing it in cold water, i have washed a small part of it maybe 5 pounds and its not getting clean i must of washed it ten times and the water is still cloudy. Wats the best way to wash it?

im going to be buying some sand gravel for a small 2x1x1.5 foot aquarium and am not very good wih weights... if i was buying at a shop it would be easy to tell how much id need, but im buying online. any suggestions to what weight size sand id need???
