Question: Old aquarium decorations question.?

I have some old fish cave house decorations for aquariums, in which I haven't used in years. I went to get one today to put in my aquarium for my betta, and so I went to rinse if off very good and I even let it set in some simmering water I boiled on the stove to sanitize it a little. Anyways there's a smell coming off of it, like a chemical or maybe the paint smell. I'm a little worried to put it in the aquarium due to the smell, I'm afraid it might harm my betta, so what do you think? |
