Is there a difference between salt water aquarium decorations or fresh water decor?
I want a piece for my brackish water tank but the tag says, " use for fresh water aquarium" . Will it matter in my brackish water tank? Is something bad going to happen to the water if i put it in there?

Why is my betta fish not swimming around and seems to be "sitting " on top of an aquarium decoration?
used to be more active, now he swims a little and then goes right back to the plastic decoration and hangs out.

Is hot glue safe to use on aquarium decorations?

Help with new aquarium decoration.?
Yesterday for Christmas I got a big Chinese Buddha statue for my fish tank. My tank is 26 gallons and I have about 10 guppies and about 4 other fish in there. Right now, I only have alot of fake plants and a small little sphinx decoration in there. I want to put in the Buddah this morning, but I want to make sure I do it right. I'm going to take out the sphinx decoration by the way.So my question is, how do I put in this very large decoration with stressing out my fish too much, and how should I go about cleaning it before I put it in the tank?Thank you everyone for all the answers

Angelfish aquarium decorations?
I have 3 angel fish and plan on getting 3 more. I want to try to breed them. I read that they like to lay there eggs on flat surfaces. Does anyone have any idea what i could put in the tank that is flat

Problem with labeo's after rearranging my aquarium decoration?
yesterday I rearranged my aquarium decoration. I thoroughly cleaned my hands without soap before I did this. So as I was moving around the gravel the hard to get waste came loose from underneath it, turns out it was quite alot even though I make sure to stir it regularly.When I finished with the new setup I did a 20% water change to get rid of some of the waste floating around. After an hour my water was crystal clear again. My filter took care of some of the waste but I can image a part of it sunk back to the bottom. Everything seemed perfectly fine, but then i got home today to find one of my three labeo's dead and the other two really pale, lethargic and floating around at a 45 degree angle. I added some slime coat additive but I don't think they'll make it to the end of the day. All my other fish are fine.Could it be labeo's got poisened from eating the fish waste or something?

Making aquarium decorations?
I have made decorations of rock and pvc pipe using safe silicone. after a period of time it turns loose. and the decorations fall apart. I am in the process of setting up a new 55 gal chiclid tank and was wonderingabout using some of the following,,,pvc glue, 2 part epoxy or fiberglass to make my decorations. letting them cure for a couple of weeks of course. does anyone have any experience with these products.thanks

What is a good aquarium decoration that you can DIY?
what are some aquarium decorations caves, rocks...etc. that you can make yourself and how do you make them. i already made a background so i dont need that. oh, and it is a freshwater tank.

Why is it that no seems to put aquarium decorations in saltwater/reef tanks?
I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can put just normal decorations in saltwater tank like pirate ships or whatever, i know live rock is really a must have and i have seen fake corals and plants, just curiuous...I have the marine tanks and the thought crossed my mind only because it would be different, anyways thanks for the comments and i dont hink ill be adding a pirate ship to my reef any time soon...

Does anyone have any suggestions for alternative aquarium decorations that provide hiding places for the fish?
I have a tank and am anxious to fill it with fish so im in the process of preparing the tank, but im just really not attracted to the common typical plants and caves and " castles" or landscape background posters there are available. I want a more custom look. I want to improvise and design my own " landscape" . Are there things objects materials that i absolutely should not use? I want the tank to reflect my own personal style but of course the most important thing is the health and comfort of the fish PLEASE HELP Can i use a solid black or other solid color background poster?

Bioshock, aquarium decorations?? Where can I get them?
I had a great idea recently to theme my aquarium around " rapture" inspired by the amazing game, bioshock. One problem, I don't find any sort of resin decorations that are underwater safe You would think that with a popular game based on a city underwater that there'd be some Big daddy statues for a aquarium but I haven't found anything. So, does anyone know where I can find them or at least get it custom made? I'd like a 6 inch big daddy statue. That'd be so awesome.

Aquarium decoration?
I have a 80 litre cold water aquarium with goldfishes. My dilema is this what kind of decoration to have in tank. My kids love The Car movie & The Wiggles, so i was thinking of this theme however my husband think we should stick to a natural themed look. My question is this.1. Who sells or does anybody sell the car wiggles ornaments to go into a tank?2. Should i stick to a natural aquatic look.3. Does anybody have any ideas of where to begin.Any suggestions would be great

Where do i find driftwood in the wild for my aquarium i know what sort i need to find only hard wood but was wondering do i find it in the water next to it or in the middle of the bush..i also know how to cure it and make it aquarium safe....plzzzz respond.
