Some interesting ideas for an aquarium background? Creative/arty people answer please?
I tried the pet shop but they had nothing I liked. I want the backdrop to be something not necessarily to do with nature, i.e something perhaps abstract or colourful. My aquarium has light beige sand, two large pieces of pinkish brownish nice looking granite, and bright green live plants. So first, which one of these ideas do you think sounds best? Why?1. Pure crimson red2. Black3. Bright Orange4. Black with neon orange I have a great luminous orange paper patterns, like orange diamond shapes or clubs& spadesDo you have any similar ideas? Have you maybe seen a wallapaper at b& q recently that might look good?Must be bright and abstract, thanks x

Any help for DIY aquarium background?
I'm going set up a small palladium half land, half water aquarium, and have been looking at DIY backgrounds. I will be separating the two halves with Plexiglas which will have a few curves in it.I have seen a few backgrounds using concrete, but this buffers the water hardness and ph to crazy levels. I've also seen just sticking pieces of slate to the back of the tank, but this won't work because of the curves. I was thinking of using a silicon and sand mixture to build up texture and use mosses, but I'm not sure if it'll work.Any suggestions as to what I may use?
3D Foam Aquarium Background?
We have just bought a 3D foam aquarium background and were told to use Gold Label Underwater Sealant. We found this was rubbish and did not work. Does anyone have these in their tanks and what have you used to stick them?
