What are the proper GH and KH levels for a tropical fish aquarium?
I dont really know what kind they are, one is a small cat fish wich is minutes away from his death. He has had his problems and he has lived a long life and the other is a small one that is white with black spots. Im trying to find what kind he is.

i been running my aquarium for quiet awhile now. its been around 6 months since i started and it has the same plants and fish in it. i was wondering my plants are doing very well but i never laid down fertilizer, i just have plain gravel..is there any liquids that would replicate ad if there was fertilizer? if there is please tell me the name of that product.
55 gallon aquarium to be filled with what?
I have decided to convert my 55 gallon into a community tank.It has a sand substrate with drift wood covered in java moss in the middle of the tank. The airstone is connected to a pump rated for 60 gallons. The filter is an Eheim 2213 canister.I'm leaving for college in the fall so I wanted fish that were fairly easy to take care of like the convicts I have now for my parents sake.I was wondering what a list would be of a good community tank. Possibly including miniature cichlids since my LFS has them in stock and I love them. Thanks in advance
Starting up a new 75 gallon freshwater aquarium?
I am in the middle of converting my saltwater tank to freshwater and I wanted some ideas on big fish that I can put in the tank. I wanted just South American fish in my tank and I was thinking of Oscars but I have read mixed reviews on them. Some websites say that they can't have tank mates, while some say they can. Some also say that they will stir up the substrate. Is any of this true? Any other fish suggestions?

by a clay pot i have done this.i have atteched a powerhead with copper pipie inside clay pot. water rus through pipe but not mix with water in pot .room temp is 32c and temp of water in pot is 22c .will it work properly for my planted tank. if you have any suggestion please send it......
